Huge Natural Disasters

Volcanic Eruption
Survival Rating: 75%

Volcanoes are easily one of the most dangerous things on Earth, and you're near one when it blows, you're in trouble. If you're even fairly near one, the thing to do is run away from it as fast as you can, and get onto high land. If you're car's right near you, drive away in that, or use any type of transport if you can. If a volcano erupts while you're on it, run to a high ridge on the mountainside and avoid streams, valleys and bridges.

Tsunami
Survival Rating: 70%

Tsunamis are huge, deadly waves that smash into land from the sea. They usually form from an undersea earthquake, and can reach up to 30 meters high. Get to higher land if you see one coming, and run away from the shore, where it hits the land. If the wave is about to hit you, grab onto something, like a lamppost, a tree, or a rail so you're not swept away. A tsunami is often coming if there is an earthquake right near the shore.

Tornado
Survival Rating: 80%

You can tell if a tornado is coming if the sky turns an odd dark green colour. Tornadoes are a little bit like hurricanes, and a bit smaller, but winds can reach even faster - up to 300mph. If you're in a house, get to the basement, and if you don't have one, get to the middle room in the house and shelter under a table. If you're in a car, get out and hide in a house in the basement or cellar, or run into a ditch and cover yourself.
Flood
Survival Rating: 95%

Floods definitely aren't the most dangerous natural disaster, but it does wreck houses, buildings and other things. If there is a flood, don't panic, just go to a safer area, but make sure all electrical equipment is high up, and you're favourite items, so they don't get washed away. If you're cut off by the water, try to contact the emergency services with a mobile, and if not, try to shine a torch at a passing boat or helicopter.

Asteroid Strike
Survival Rating: 45%

A huge asteroid strike has never happened on Earth. A huge one might have wiped out the dinosaurs, but while humans have been around, it hasn't happened. If a big asteroid hit Earth in the same area as you, there's no chance of survival, but if it was quite far away, you might have a chance. If there's a warning about one, evacuate away from it immediately. Get inside, and shelter from the blast under something large.

Landslide
Survival Rating: 80%

Landslides are what they sound like - the land sliding down a slope or a hill. They're very dangerous and if they fall into any water, they can cause tsunamis. You can sometimes tell if a landslide is going to happen if they're some soil that trickling downhill. You should call the emergency services, and if they say you should, get out of the area. If you're in you're house in a landslide, run outside and try to escape, maybe running sideways.
